Refurbished devices traded and took brand new device. Subscription paid

I bought a BRAND NEW DEVICE from Best buy got Blink they said device had glitches so send it to them and will send me another device. There device was REFURBISHED STILL HAD SCRATCH MARKS AND HIGHLIGHTER MARKS ON IT.

SO THEY LIED AND TOOK GOOD DEVICE. I HAD PAID for a YEAR SUBSCRIPTION PLAN MY PLAN Was cancelled because it went to old device which TECH SUPPORT DELETED IN AN ATTEMPT TO ADD NEW DEVICE. SO REFURBISHED EQUIPMENT AND TOOK MY $100 now blink and Amazon is playing the game of who's fault it is and who to call so I'm out of the 599. I paid for BRAND NEW DEVICE AND $100 I bought during.

Christmas time so I made. A sacrifice because MY SON WAS MURDERED IN MY HOME

Blink has made their App unacceptable with the last update and I would encourage anyone looking for Security Cameras to buy something else. You have to scroll through yesterdays events that you have Already seen before you get to todays events. Also some unseen events you may have to scroll through over 100 previously viewed events before you get to them. Both of the last two app updates have only made the app worse.

Bought 3 outdoors security cameras in 2017 and all three worked fine UNTIL AMAZON bought out BLINK and charged monthly fee. My 3 cameras were advertised *no monthly extra fee* to operate.

For the past 5 years BLINK purposely caused technical problems to my surveillance BLINK outdoor cameras. My cameras are NOT * NEW or 3rd GENERATION* WHICH IS CHARGING monthly operation fee. Mine were ADVERTISED..* no extra money charged, install and go!* I live on very busy roads and the cameras at least would have daily over 15 videos. Since they think BLINK.can BLACKMAIL me not operating cameras as per purchase agreement i have since yesterday on 3 cameras 2 videos.

For 5 years i have been back and forth in contact with BLINK tech and blackmailed to pay monthly service charge. I have 3 *no extra fee* purchased cameras..which don't work.

In my opinion my struggle over the years and stress is to be known to the public and i filed complain with CONSUMER AFFAIRS for lying and misleading me. Blink...i suggest staying away from.

Im tired of resetting my camera

I purchased a blink pan tilt camera that has beeb reset and recalibrated once per week since I purchased it. Ridiculous ...

anyway, today I called Blink customer service technical support which used to be US based. I was transferred to china. A woman repeated everything I said and basically told me that I needed to delete the camera and redo the installation. I explained that I wasnt at the location and that I would lose my ability to view and hear and asked for a reset from her end.

to no avail. I think she was reading from a manual. I then called this number and was immediately transferred to a nice Tech support man in Texas.

He said he was sending me a new pan tilt module. Problem solved !

Broken promises

Wish I could have left a zero star review. Bllink Customer Support fails at executing their promises.

Had an issue with registration on a Friday. Website says to submit a form via email and expct an answer in two WORKING days. Tech rep on the phone says it will be *three* working days.says it will be three days. It is now FIVE working days (plus two weekend days) since submission with no resolution.

Called to escalate without satisfaction. Just be prepared for them to take their sweet time regardless of how important it is to you.

I would STRONGLY suggest investing in a different camera system; Wyze is much better from personal experience; I've also heard good things about Nest. Honestly if I had the money to scrap these and replace them, I wouldn't hesitate.

I have called your customer number number times. I have explained the problem to the best of my ability to whoever answered.

We had an account with Blink a few years ago which we failed to delete.

As we are getting older, we have felt the need for a security system. Therefore, we purchased a new system with four outdoor cameras and a mini-camera.

Back to my problem. The email of our old account is still registered with Blink. I have requested that all vestiges of it be removed.

However, after being assured it would be removed several times, it is still there. It will not let me change password (of course, I dont remember the old one) so that doesnt work. So I am in a dilemma.

Cannot change password and cannot set up as new account.

We would like to get this set up. HELP!

Pitiful Customer Service

I have 9 cameras and 2 sync modules that I installed a year ago. Installation was easy and they have worked well.

About month ago, one sync module stopped working. I tried every reset suggested over a two-week period including duplicating many of them when they change reps in the middle of the process. They finally agreed it was a hardware failure and sent a replacement module. I installed the new module and when it did its automatic firmware update my other existing module failed at precisely that minute with exactly the same error as the first failure.

I contacted support and they had me go through the whole troubleshooting process again. It didn't work and their latest answer is "it's an ISP problem". When the system works, it works very well. Given the recent failures, I'm concerned about hardware quality.

And given my customer service experience, I would feel more confident asking a stranger on the street to help me troubleshoot.

I should add that I am a degreed IT professional with over 40 years of experience so none of this is unfamiliar to me. I can enter my password correctly and I know what an SSID is.

To set up cameras once stolen

Blink said that I had to sign out the thief that stole my cameras. But I dont know their email. So now they said without knowing the info then cameras were not any good. They worked fine when theives had them but I cant sign in. Cause I dont know there email. My husband bought these cameras for me cause he was dying of cancer for my protection. He has now passed away. I cant use my cameras because blink wont satisfy the customer ; me!

Horrible Customer Service Unwilling to do anything

Same as many other people, I purchased 6 wired floodlight cameras and had a failure rate of 80%. Upon contacting Blink support, they first request access to your system.

Then they run you around in circles constantly just sending you pre-typed responses to your emails telling how to adjust settings or how this and how that and then their favorite.. Delete the camera and reinstall it. They will NOT honor their one-year warranty.

At this point I am reaching out to people who experience the same run around as it may be time for a class action lawsuit against them for breach of warranty contract. They are absolutely HORRIBLE...I had to give them one star because you can't give them negative stars, or I would have.

I am having a problem also! I have 3 outdoor and 3 mini and was looking forward to upgrading to the new 4.

Well I've been having problems with 2 outta 3 of my minis one which finally just died. They did replace the dead one but the other they keep giving me the run around! Making me reset wifi, camera ect. Now they have me setting up a schedule where the camera turns off for 15mins every hr for 3 hours.

It is clearly a known problem as this is their fix instead of sending me a new camera. Whenever it changes from dawn to dusk the camera stops working. Everyday!

I have to do a live view to get it to work again. I'm disabled and yet they have me climbing on ladders to fix the camera, reset my wifi ect.

They're the WORST CS on the planet, nevermind trying to contact them to complain about an issue one first purchased. Never responded ever!! They kept having me troubleshoot on the phone and by email for HOURS doing the same thing over and over again. The device is clearly faulty and they should send me a new one. They are assuming I have the physical ability to climb up and down a ladder installing and reinstalling. They are in the Philippines so all email communication is in the middle of the night. Im paying for a service I can not use. I DO NOT recommend BLINK.
